Laser Assisted Hatching

Laser Assisted Hatching is a process where a low energy laser beam is used to break the outer layer of the Zona Pellucida (the outer layer or shell that surrounds an embryo). The main purpose of laser assisted hatching is to allow the embryo to hatch more easily from its outer layer or shell.
